Insurance

Dermatology Consultants of Sacramento is contracted with the following insurance plans:

*Contracts with insurance companies change frequently, so our staff is happy to help you confirm coverage at the time of scheduling.

Note: All HMO Plans require a referral prior to scheduling an appointment.

  • Aetna – PPO, POS, Managed Choice
  • Blue Shield – Federal, Out of State, PPO, POS
  • Hill Physicians – All plans including Covered California. Referral required.
  • Blue Cross – Cal Pers, Out of State, PPO, POS, *NOT Medi-Cal Plans.
  • Blue Shield Access Plus (through Hill Physicians only).
  • Champ VA
  • Cigna – PPO, POS, Select.
  • Covered California – we accept “Off Exchange” patients ONLY, but we are “out of network” and deductible payment is often higher. We cannot schedule any “self-pay” patients who have Covered California insurance.
  • Health Comp
  • Health Net- including IFP enhanced Care PPO.
  • Lucent Health
  • Medicare
  • Medicare Advantage Plans – Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO & HMO, Blue Cross Medicare advantage PPO, Blue Shield Medicare advantage PPO, United Health Medicare advantage PPO & HMO, HealthNet Medicare Advantage PPO & HMO, Alignment PPO & HMO. Referral required for HMO plans (contracted with Sutter and Hill Physicians medical groups).
  • Medicare Supplemental Plans – Humana, Physicians Mutual, AMA, AARP, Colonial life, Standard Life, Tri Care for Life, Bankers Life, Mutual of Omaha. We are contracted with most supplemental plans.
  • Sterling – PPO
  • Sutter Independent Physicians – Referral required.
  • Sutter Gould Medical Group – Referral required.
  • Sutter Medical Group – Referral required.
  • Sutter Select
  • United Healthcare PPO Referral may be required.
    No NEXIS or Navigate plans unless it is Nexis ACO OA.
  • GEHA-United Healthcare Shared Services – Health Net Federal, Tri Care Prime/Select. Referral recommended to lower your deducible.
