Margaret E. Parsons, MD, FAAD
Dr. Parsons returned to her hometown of Sacramento in 1996 after completing medical school and dermatology residency training, including serving as chief resident at Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans. Her undergraduate education was at the University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. Parsons has been continually recognized as a “Best Doctor” in Sacramento. Her commitment to medicine and the community are evidenced by her involvement in local, state and national medical associations including service on boards of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society, CalDerm, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the California Medical Association. Dr. Parsons believes part of patient care is advocating for patients, and the physicians that care for them, in regulatory, policy, and legislative arenas.
Always committed to education and increasing knowledge, Dr. Parsons works with the residents at the UC Davis Department of Dermatology as an associate clinical professor and has lectured at conferences and association meetings nationwide.
As a native Sacramentan, Dr. Parsons enjoys all that the region offers with her husband and son, particularly the American River bike and walking trails. On weekends she enjoys gardening, cooking, and long walks with her golden retrievers.
